From the Ashes, a New Beginning
Sometimes life takes us through unexpected changes. What once seemed certain can disappear, leaving space for something new to emerge.
Just as my own life was transforming, so too was the place that would become Sauna Natas.
Two different journeys, connected by loss, change, and new beginnings.
The former Saunas4U sauna in Newbridge was lost to fire. Around the same period, I was experiencing my own season of profound change and transformation.
Looking back, I began to see something meaningful in these two stories.
Fire has the power to destroy, but throughout human history, it has also symbolized renewal and transformation. Sometimes, what comes after the fire can become something more meaningful than we ever imagined.
What began as a personal journey of rebuilding gradually became a vision: to bring warmth and life back to a familiar place, creating something that could serve not only myself but the wider community.
From the ashes of the past, Sauna Natas was born.
A new beginning, with a purpose greater than itself.
A Name That Carries Family
Behind the name Sauna Natas is something very close to my heart.
Natas is my son's name.
This sauna carries his name because it represents much more than a business. It represents family, connection, hope, and the things we build together.
Sauna Natas was brought to life with the love, dedication, and helping hands of my family.
Without them, this place would not exist.
Every contribution, every helping hand, and every moment of support has become part of its story.
Although Sauna Natas begins a new chapter at the former Saunas4U location in Sarsfields GAA, Newbridge, its roots are deeply personal.
My hope is that everyone who visits feels some of the same warmth, belonging, and connection that helped bring this place to life.
Because sometimes, the most meaningful things are those we create together.
The Four Elements — Return to Your Nature
Sauna Natas is part of the Kokopelli family, a project inspired by nature, traditional knowledge, and our connection with the natural world.
At the heart of our philosophy are four elements.
Fire. Water. Air. Earth.
Four forces of nature that have accompanied humanity since the beginning of time.
Fire brings warmth, energy, and transformation. Within the sauna, it heats the stones and reminds us that change is a natural part of life.
Water brings renewal, movement, and balance. From the steam rising from hot stones to the refreshing embrace of a cold plunge, water invites us to awaken our senses.
Air gives us breath, freshness, and freedom. The breeze against our skin, the deep breath after leaving the heat, and the simple pleasure of being outdoors.
Earth grounds us, supports us, and reminds us where we belong. The timber surrounding us, the ground beneath our feet, and the natural world that supports all life.
And love connects them all.
Together, these elements create something beautifully simple.
An opportunity to step away from everyday distractions, reconnect with our bodies, share moments with others, and experience the natural world through our senses.
You don't need to seek anything extraordinary.
Sometimes, the extraordinary is found in the simplest experiences.
